Retainer-Rock® Retaining Walls

Retainer-Rock® is used primarily for retaining walls, earth retention, and landscaping across commercial, industrial, private, highways, rail and infrastructure projects. It is also used to retain earth and soil and protect land, people and property where a decorative finish is desired.

Foundation requirements depend on wall height, ground conditions, and loading. A structural engineer should assess and specify suitable foundations where required. A level, compacted base is typically required, with structural advice recommended for higher retained loads.

Yes. Retainer-Rock® can be used for both temporary and permanent installations, subject to design and engineering approval.

Retainer-Rock is suitable for both. Its weight holds back the soil on smaller walls and it has a tie rod jointing system that is easy to install for taller walls and where ground conditions dictate. Retainer-Rock walls can be built up to 4.5 m tall with standard single depth blocks of just 816 mm without the need for additional resource. Walls taller than 4.5 m in height may be achieved with additional engineering input.
